Announcing the 3rd annual Soiree at the Salon - 2/5/2006!!
Join us on Sunday, February 5, at Vain Salon (2018 First
Ave) for a spectacular night of literature, art, and
excitement!
Our third annual Soiree begins with a silent auction at 7:30
p.m. Try to outbid your friends on
stellar items that include an iPod Mini, one-on-one
knitting lessons, and t-shirt screen-printing sessions! Or
perhaps you'll want to place your bid on a selection of
your favorite books, an hour-long massage, or an
acupuncture treatment. As the bidding frenzy builds, mingle
and talk with local writers, artists, and activists.
At 8 p.m. the literary portion of the evening begins. We
have a fantastic line-up this year - joining us to share
their literary prowess will be Rebecca Brown, Ann Pancake,
Basil Shadid, Alaina Giesbrecht, and Ann Tweedy! Let our
amazing readers challenge and excite you! During
intermission, you'll have a chance to put in a final bid on
auction items, before we whisk you away for the final half
of our reading.
We guarantee an evening of entertainment and fun, and by
joining us, you'll help fund the next issue of PUSH, which
is all about flesh and blood! We hope to see you there!
